Morning to Trimester 3!

Haven't touched the website in almost a week so I might as well get back to it.
Week 2 just started and I've had quite an eventful week. More so weekend, but I'll
get to that later. This trimester's schedule is pretty relaxed all things considered.
I'm only needing to attend school for 2 days, Thursday and Fridays, alongside online
lectures on Tuesdays. Mondays and Wednesdays are practically just rest days.
Week 1 was mostly introductions again except for the programming module. This would
be our third and final foundation programming module and it's honestly quite wack. We
are now expected to program in both C and C++ which I don't mind as like a hobby
or a past time but being expected to remember the syntax of two languages is a big
ask in my opinion. Especially within an exam context. The other two modules are
game design and some innovation thing. Not really sure the point of the innovation
one but I personally believe it's just the school's way to pad the program and earn
a few more bucks of students. I say "a few" but to be completely honest it's quite a
sizable amount. The game design (GD) module so far has been pretty solid. The professors
were friendly and approachable and overall were quite nice. We are expected to use Unreal
Engine (UE) for this module which surprised me cause I was fully expecting this mod to
be solely analog. I'm not really complaining though. It's quite nice to expand the
skillset especially with a Game Engine that is starting to be commonly used across the
industry.
The only real complaint I have is the weird jump in AI utility. We had a in-person
tutorial and for the first time, not only did we have a 20 min plus quiz but also a
programming quiz that was expected to be done within an hour with the assistance of AI.
Mind you that we have not had a mod that informed us on the best approaches to using AI
when it comes to learning. It was quite jarring for most of us and to be straight. I
kinda just used the AI to slop out some answer. I'm going to sound like I'm making some
excuses but that was really not a day for me to throw some random test. My laptop
had previously stored some sort of info-stealer malware so I had to reset it and I had
to reinstall everthing

to reinstall everthing. Unfortunately, I overlooked installing WSL and other programming
stuff I needed for the module. So I spent 25 mins just wondering why nothing was starting.
By the time I actually read the specifications of the project I kinda just clocked out.
Probably bad that I did but I was find with it since I still understood what the outcome
and objective was (I think :P).
Anyways, I've got a lot more to yap about when it comes to my weekend but I wanna
separate school stuff from personal life stuff so that it's easier to read (and also
cause I can pad out my posts). Cya in the next one!
